Classical Republican Party

For a free, fair and just Australia

Our vision

Vibrant and free

The Classical Republican Party was born out of a vision for a vibrant, free and just society.

We believe Australia should be a place where the rights of citizens are respected, where government serves rather than dictates, and where individuals are free to thrive and pursue their dreams.

Based on the concept of Classical Republican Party, our party's ethos is rooted in justice and liberty, and an approach which will deliver long-term stabilty for our nation.

Our core principles

The strength of Classical Republican Party lies in its the promotion of an ethical vision that goes beyond modern partisan agendas.

We seek to promote individual liberty that is aligned with natural law, or divine principles.

Where Australia's major parties are increasingly secural, centralising and progressive in their outlook, our party elevates the importance of civic virtue, limited government and a natural moral order.

"We believe strong communities are built on tradition across family, religion and social order."

Decentralised power

The Classical Republican Party supports constitutional originalism. This means we read and apply Australia’s Constitution according to its original meaning and purpose at the time of Federation. This approach stops judicial activism; where judges create new rights or stretch the Constitution beyond what was intended. It also keeps law-making power clearly divided between the Commonwealth and the States, protecting individual freedom and local decision-making from unnecessary interference.

Policy priorities

The Classical Republican Party (CRP) is in the process of developing key policies designed to improve individual lives and livelihoods. Here is a selection of preliminary policy priority areas.

Affordable housing

It is increasingly difficult for Australians to join the housing market. CRP believes key tax reforms are necessary, including removing negative gearing on investment properties, in order to make housing more affordable and to enable more people to own their own home.

Free enterprise

CRP believes passionately in the capacity of youth to embrace the free market and drive economic growth. We seek to foster a culture of entrepreneurship through a government approach that promotes mentoring, enhances traineeships and supports innovation.

Indigenous well-being

CRP seeks to enhance Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander health and well-being through an indigenous-led approach that fosters connection to country, promotes cultural practices, and supports mental health and cultural healing.

Our story

Founded in 2025 the Classical Republican Party (CRP) seeks to return key rights and freedoms to Australian citizens. CRP believes the role of government in the lives of everyday Australians has become too significant and that more effective and responsible decision-making takes place at a local level.
